Now, 10,000 Rewards points are worth almost $10 if you're using the auto-redeem feature to claim an Xbox gift card, so naturally, you're not going to want to spend a lot of money (or time, because time is money) trying to complete this challenge. In this round-up, we've tried to detail the best way to unlock 10,000 Gamerscore without spending any of your hard-earned cash. Your mileage will, of course, vary with some of the examples we've provided.
Xbox Game Pass
If you're an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, this will be your best place to start in the quest to reach 10,000G. There are several quick completions in the Xbox Game Pass library that will give you a cool 1,000G each.- Doom 64 - 1-2 hours
- The Gardens Between - 1-2 hours
- DayZ - 1-2 hours (using the new achievement server)
- Donut County - 1-2 hours
- The Little Acre - 1-2 hours
- What Remains of Edith Finch - 2-3 hours
- NHL 94 Rewind - 2-3 hours, available with Game Pass Ultimate or EA Access
- Day of the Tentacle Remastered - 2-3 hours
- Full Throttle Remastered - 2-3 hours
- Genesis Noir - 3-4 hours
- The Walking Dead: Michonne - 3-5 hours
- The Touryst - 4-5 hours
- Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice - 6-8 hours
- Tell Me Why - 7-10 hours for 1,500G
- The Walking Dead: A New Frontier - 8-10 hours
The Games With Gold backlog
If you've been claiming the free Games with Gold on offer each month, you might have a couple of easy completions that you've since forgotten about. Be sure to check out our complete list of Xbox Games with Gold Games to see if you've got any outstanding games that could be used to reach the 10,000G target. According to the challenge's requirements, achievements unlocked in Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One games count.Easy and quick completions such as Batman: The Enemy Within - The Telltale Series, Gone Home: Console Edition, #IDARB, We Were Here, and many, many more have been Games with Gold at one point or another.
Free Xbox Games
As far as free games go, you're going to be somewhat limited. Most free-to-play games are huge grind fests that take tens or even hundreds of hours to complete. However, Rec Room, a free "social app" offers a chunky 700 Gamerscore that can be unlocked in under 10 minutes. The remaining 300 Gamerscore is a massive grind, so bear that in mind if you want the full 1,000G.A free game that does offer a full 1,000G and is a straightforward completion is Korgan, which according to estimates, takes between one and two hours to complete. Xitilon
Xitilon has become a well-known name in achievement-hunting circles thanks to some of its games receiving effortless title updates worth 1,000G each. If you've previously purchased any of the Xitilon games, it might be worth revisiting to see if the games you own have had another title update.However, be wary of some of the Xitilon-published games. The publisher had to revert a controversial change that made base achievement lists in some of its games harder. The title updates are all extremely easy, though.
If you don't already use it, TA has a great feature that will notify you each time a new DLC appears for games you own. Head into the Settings tab in the Gamer Menu and then into Site Settings. From there, scroll down to the DLC section and toggle the "PM me when new DLC appears for games I own" button to receive a notification once we pick up a new DLC achievement list.
